Washington's Birthday Parade - Alexandria

MUSTER 11:OO AM AT ST MARY'S SCHOOL CAFETERIA
Feb 21, 2011 Washington’s Birthday parade, Old Town, Alexandria
The Annual George Washington Birthday Celebration is one of the oldest events organized in Alexandria. From the time of the Revolutionary War, the people of Alexandria have celebrated the birthday of George Washington through marching in parades, reenacting historic events, musical performances or dancing at the birthnight balls.
Once again; This Year, the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus will be marching in the annual George Washington Birthday Parade and we need to gather as many Sir Knights as possible. As usual the Rappahannock Assembly #1613 Knights of Columbus Honor America Corps will be joining us for the Parade with all their flags and we will need our entire members who have Regalia to join us for the parade so we call display all the Flags of our Great nation. Color Corps members are asked to meet at ST MARY'S SCHOOL CAFETERIA AT 11:00 AM.
The George Washington Birthday Parade starts at the intersection of GIBBON AND S. FAIRFAX STREETS AT 1:00 PM. The reviewing stand is located near City Hall’s Market Square, at the intersection of King and Royal streets, and ends at Wilkes and S. Royal streets. There is plenty of spaces along the route for your families to enjoy watching the parade.
