Faithful Navigator’s Report

Fr. Malloy Assembly 1894Worthy Sir Knights,

Fraternal Year 2016-2017 draws to a close at the end of this

month, as does my tenure as your Faithful Navigator. It has

been an amazing year, and I thank each of you first for the trust

you placed in me, and second for your participation in our many

activities. It has been an amazing journey, and I appreciate

everything that we accomplished.

In a special way, I thank those Catholic American gentlemen

who served as Faithful Officers this year. Their service to the

Assembly, whether chairing our various programs, keeping our

records in order, or keeping yours truly in line and on my toes,

has been exemplary and a true blessing

And I congratulate SK Matthew T. West, PGK , on being

elected to serve as Faithful Navigator in the upcoming year.

Matt has been my right-hand man this year, and has done a

phenomenal job in revitalizing our Sir Knights’ Café, among

other things… all this while battling his own physical ailment.

I know that I turn over the Assembly to someone who will keep

the momentum going. I ask all to do what you can to support

Matt and his Faithful Officers as they take over on July 1.

Finally, a personal plea from me to each of you. On

Wednesday, June 21, we will have our annual Pass in Review.

This year, it will be in the school gym at St. Leo the Great in

Fairfax (just across the parking lot from where we meet). I

encourage each of you who can to attend this austere event. We

will be honored to have the District Master and the State

Treasurer-elect in attendance, and will be honoring our newest

Sir Knights, welcoming them into the Assembly. There will be

additional presentations, including the naming of this year’s Sir

Knight of the Year. Details can be found elsewhere in this

edition… please come join us!
