On Sunday, May 11th, there will be a Mass of Thanksgiving for the Canonization of Pope John Paul II at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC at Noon with the Principle Celebrant being Donald Cardinal Wuerl. Following the Mass there will be a procession to the John Paul II Shrine which is down the street from the Basilica.
The Supreme Council has asked for a large 4th degree Honor Guard to attend this Mass.
Virginia Knights always rise to the occasion when called upon – I hope that this event is no different - I am asking that Virginia Knights and Sir Knights to make a special effort to publically demonstrate our Love for Blessed John Paul II by attending this glorious celebration of His Canonization. I know that this is Mother’s Day. What better way to spend Mother’s Day than with Mary Our Blessed Mother and Patroness in Her Home.
Please note that Supreme has arranged for a website for Sir Knights to use to sign-up for this event similar to what we did for September 8.
