An Honor Guard is needed in Full Service Regalia to present the wreath at the tomb of the unknowns, Arlington National Cemetery.
While the presentation group is limited to four, a full Honor Guard to line the steps from the portico to the tomb plaza makes a rather impressive backdrop.
Those participating are asked to assemble outside the guard office no later than 3:00PM for instruction.
Parking is available at the ANC Visitor Center. The Tomb of the Unknowns is about a 20 minute walk, uphill … the walk back is downhill!
If arriving early, one can request a visitor pass to visit the gravesite of Father Edward L. Richardson, deceased Chaplain of the Virginia Knights of Columbus, interned in Section 33, Grave site 1648.
While one is not to “tour†the cemetery on a visitor pass, Father Richardson’s grave site is just down the hill from the Tomb of the Unknowns.
