Urgent Color Corps RequestJan 15, 2010 Brother Sir Knights:Many of you are probably aware that our brother, Harold Brown, was killed in Afghanistan while TDY for the State Dept along with seven others in a Taliban suicide bombing on 30 Dec 2009. He left behind his wife Janet, and three children, Paul, Lena, and Clare. Harold has been a member since January 2007. The funeral was in Massachusetts this past Saturday at St. John’s Church in Clinton, Massachusetts, where they were married. The family has requested the participation of the Knights, and given that Harold was killed while actively involved in the war on terror, it would be appropriate for a 4th Degree honor guard at the Memorial Mass scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday January 15 at the St Mary of Sorrows Worship Center, 5222 Sideburn Rd, Fairfax, VA, with reception in the church hall afterwards. Sir Knights in regalia are requested to assemble in the foyer of the St Mary of Sorrows Worship Center by 12:45 PM January 15. I have already received a response from 3 members so far that they will come. Please notify me (geobilly@aol.com), PFN Dick Lee (richard.p.lee@verizon.net), and info Council 8600 GK Dan Turgeon (DJTurgeon@aol.com) ASAP if you will participate. George Billy, FN Fr. Walter F.
